LWV Members Monitor Election Verification
Members of the League attended in person or watched virtually the County Commission on November 12 and November 13 as they reviewed and certified the results from the November election. The LWV requested the process be live streamed and the county commission agreed. The certification went smoothly. LWV Candidate Forums Successful Thanks to the tremendous efforts of LWV member Cris Kinsella and her stellar committee, voter forums were held featuring all the county commission candidates and all the candidates for House of Delegates District 98 and 99. The only disappointment was the failure of two candidates to attend the forum for Districts 97 and 100 (Bill Ridenour and Chris Anders), forcing us to cancel that one forum. LWV Attends Girl Scout Election Connection Lyn Widmyer attended a special forum featuring women in government and politics, sponsored by the girls Scouts, on Oct. 24 2024. Lyn spoke about the history of women voting and the history of the League of women Voters. |
